[Day 2] Breakfast Plus Meet-and- Greet with Disney Characters at Enchanted Garden Restaurant (翠乐庭餐厅) Nov 4th 2013, 03:03, by Ellena Guan Meet And Greet With Disney Characters Although I have being to other Disneyland theme parks in Paris and Tokyo but this is my very first time having meal together with Disney Characters like Mickey, Daisy, Pluto and etc. And honestly we were all very excited about today's breakfast even way before we came to Disneyland, Hong Kong (香港迪士尼乐园). Above is our family photo taken with Mickey during the Meet-and-Greet Disney Characters Breakfast Buffet at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel and I am sure it will bring back many good memories of our Disney breakfast experience even after many year later. [Disney's Hollywood Hotel] Good Morning! [Disney's Hollywood Hotel] Sea View After a night of "magical" rest, we were all fresh and ready to go for breakfast with our desire Disney Characters before heading to the theme park for more rides and adventures! Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel [Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel] Lobby Area [Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel] Lobby Area After 10 minutes of bus ride away from our hotel (Disney's Hollywood Hotel) we reached the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel for our Greet-And-Meet Disney Characters Breakfast Buffet. But before the buffet starts at 9.30 am we decided to explore around the surrounding mainly because we did not get to see much yesterday after our lunch at Crystal Lotus (晶荷轩) (we were rushing over to Disneyland theme park). Upon entering into the hotel lobby, you will be captivated by it's interior decoration and furnishing with tall ceiling, full length windows, furniture, copper Mickey and Minnie statues which makes it a great place for taking photos. [Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel] Grand Salon @ Lobby Area [Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel] Grand Salon @ Lobby Area The Grand Salon in Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel offers a la carte food which makes it a good place to have breakfast in the morning and at the same time enjoys the garden view with Mickey Maze just below it. In the afternoon they also provide Victorian favorite High Tea for guests to take a break and enjoy a wonderful time with friends or family. [Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel] Restroom Gosh! Even they restroom look so fairy-tale.... with that mirrors mirrors on the wall......who is the...... :p [Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel] Kingdom Gifts [Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel] Kingdom Gifts On the right side of the lobby entrance which is opposite Crystal Lotus (晶荷轩), you will see Kingdom Gifts which sell several kinds of Disney merchandises for you to take home as gifts or keepsake. The items ranges from soft toys, key chains, toy models, food stuffs, stationery and etc which you will be overwhelming by its selections. [Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel] Mickey Maze [Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel] Mickey Maze [Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel] Mickey Maze Mickey Maze is an outdoor attraction in Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel that is designed to be fun for all ages. And there is also a hidden "mickey" in the maze which you can only see it on higher ground so try to spot it during your next visit to Hong Kong Disneyland ok :p {Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel] Garden View [Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel - Enchanted Garden Restaurant 翠乐庭餐厅] Enchanted Garden Restaurant (翠乐庭餐厅) is one of the Disney Character Dining restaurant in Hong Kong Disneyland Resort apart from Chef Mickey which is located in Disney's Hollywood Hotel. It is located at the ground level of the hotel and as you can see from above photo, the entrance to the restaurant is decorated with garden themed deco which makes every guests feel so delighted. If you wish to enjoy a Meet-And-Greet breakfast session with the Disney Characters, I will recommend you to make your reservation ahead while booking the hotel room(s) so that in a way you can secure the reservation plus enjoy a special discount rate through hotel booking. Breakfast Timing: 7.30 - 9.00am (1st seating); 9.30 - 11.00am (2nd seating) Beautiful Painting with Garden Themed outside Enchanted Garden Restaurant. We were at the waiting area outside the restaurant for our turn to go in for the 2nd seating of  the Meet-and-Greet Breakfast Buffet. [Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel - Enchanted Garden Restaurant 翠乐庭餐厅] The interior furnishing As usual the ambiance of Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel restaurants are mainly based on Victorian style and Enchanted Garden Restaurant (翠乐庭餐厅) also offers different seating arrangement which make is suitable for family, couples and groups dining. For the buffet selections, Enchanted Garden definitely has a wider range as compared to Chef Mickey (will share the detail in another separate post) over at Disney's Hollywood Hotel. And you can take a look at some of the items they offers from the photos shown below. [Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel - Enchanted Garden Restaurant 翠乐庭餐厅] Asian Spread [Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel - Enchanted Garden Restaurant 翠乐庭餐厅] Western Spread There have an American spread with the usual stuffs like baked bean, bacon, ham, sausages, eggs and etc which everyone loves. [Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel - Enchanted Garden Restaurant 翠乐庭餐厅] Mickey Waffle [Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel - Enchanted Garden Restaurant 翠乐庭餐厅] Porridge With Assorted Condiment This is more like an Asian-style breakfast which served white porridge or oatmeal with assorted condiments like peanuts, fried fritters (you tiao), pickled vegetables and etc. [Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel - Enchanted Garden Restaurant 翠乐庭餐厅] Cantonese Dim Sum Spread Other than porridge, there are also a wide selection of Cantonese Dim Sum which features steamed bun, steamed pork ribs, tea egg, yam cake, water chestnut cake and etc which are popular among the Asian guests. Start with some delicious Mickey Waffle with honey and chocolate sauce! Assorted Dim Sum and Poach Egg My favourite Bread choice with some butter and jam! [Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel - Enchanted Garden Restaurant 翠乐庭餐厅] Dessert Section To end the breakfast, if you have sweet tooth pick up some desserts like cake, fresh fruits, yogurt, mousse and etc from the Dessert and Beverage Section which are quite decent too. [Greet And Meet With Disney Character @ Enchanted Garden Restaurant] During the breakfast session, the friendly Disney Characters will go around from table to table sending their warm greeting as well as photo session with the guests. Between the friendly restaurant crews will be station around the tables so if you need any assistance from them to help you and your family to snap some photos with the Disney Characters you can always approached them. Disney's Hollywood Hotel (迪士尼好莱坞酒店) @ Hong Kong Nov 2nd 2013, 03:40, by Ellena Guan [Disney's Hollywood Hotel @ Hong Kong] Disney's Hollywood Hotel is one of the two available within Hong Kong Disneyland Resort in Lantau Island, Hong Kong. It is themed to 1930s Hollywood with around 600 guest rooms, five restaurants and a gift shop plus outdoor pool area. For guests who are going to Disneyland Resort or Disneyland Hotel (for meals) there is also a complimentary Resort Shuttle Bus service available outside the hotel main entrance with 10 - 20 minutes interval of waiting time. Disney's Hollywood Hotel The hotel "check out" time is before 11.00am but if your flight is late in the evening they do have luggage deposit service for in-house guests or you can do a Airport Express Check-in (post coming soon) if you are intending to explore the city area like what we did. [Disney's Hollywood Hotel] Lobby Area This is the front desk area at Lobby where you can make enquery, check-in/check-out for rooms, currency exchange and etc. The earliest "check-in" timing is after 12.00pm depending on room availability so you can just hang around at the lobby area or have a quick bites at one of their cafe while waiting for the check in. [Disney's Hollywood Hotel] Sea View Disney's Hollywood Hotel has about 600 guest rooms each with the garden view, the sea view, or the park view over 8 levels that caters for every type of guests need. Following a same Deco design for each room makes it simple and yet elegance to the rooms featuring a stylish mix of modern (the flat-screen LCD TV) and past which wouldn't make guests feel too out of place in the 1930s Hollywood. [Disney's Hollywood Hotel] Sea View From our room at eight floor we can get a pretty good Sea View through the full length glass window overseeing the magnificent view from far. But it's a bit pity that some of the views are block by the trees below so it the hotel is built with higher floors I am sure the view will be ever better. [Disney's Hollywood Hotel] Floor Plan Directory All the rooms in the hotel are equipped with Boardband Internet access via guests own laptop computer with an access charge. More details can be obtain from the Guest Services counter at lobby area. But guests can still use the FREE WiFi service around the Hotel Lobby Area by connecting to the Wi-Fi network known as "HKDL-BB". For your information, this FREE WiFi service is available at both Disney's Hollywood Hotel and Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel lobby area and dining locations. [Disney's Hollywood Hotel] Celebrity Gifts With all these cute Disney Character merchandises I am sure both kids and Adults can spend up to hour(s) in the shop admiring and choosing which to bring home as gift or souvenir for self collection. [Disney's Hollywood Hotel] Studio Lounge [Disney's Hollywood Hotel] Studio Lounge Located just off the main Lobby, the art deco theme of the hotel continues with the colouful high-backed chairs and soft sofas seats. with a full bar service offering specialty cocktails and mocktails (see what we ordered  at another post here(post coming soon)), Studio Lounge is a place to relax and enjoy the view over the lawn through the full length windows. As you can see from the menu above, other than cocktails they also offers snack and food like pizza, burgers, noodle soup and etc to cater the demand of the hotel guests. [Disney's Hollywood Hotel] Chef Mickey Cafe [Disney's Hollywood Hotel] Chef Mickey Cafe  [Disney's Hollywood Hotel] Chef Mickey Cafe Chef Mickey Cafe offers casual International Buffet with local favourite Cantonese courses as well as specialties from Asia and US featuring a European bakery and pizza fresh from their wood fired oven. [Disney's Hollywood Hotel] Malibu Games [Disney's Hollywood Hotel] Malibu Games All kids will definitely love Mailbu Games which is just beside the Hollywood and Dine cafe. And this service is also a complimentary for in-house guests' kids to enjoy their wide variety of classic arcade style games. [Disney's Hollywood Hotel] Outdoor View [Disney's Hollywood Hotel] View of the Hotel [Disney's Hollywood Hotel] Outdoor Facilities - Piano Pool In the early morning or late evening, you can take a short walk around the Hollywood themed garden to take some photos with the vintage Californian cars or with sea view as background. If time is favorable you can enjoy pool time at their Piano Pool to cool down the summer heat which I think it's a great idea to pamper yourself during vacation. After all you do need some "me" time just for yourself to enjoy some peace and relaxation away from busy city life. [Disney's Hollywood Hotel] Postage Service If you would like to send a postcard or mail back home to your friends or as a memory, you can use the letter pad/postcard provided in the hotel room and purchase the postage stamps from the Bell Services (at Lobby front desk) like what we did. Between they also provide mailing service on behalf for guests so just leave your mail(s) with them will do.
