[Day 1] Lunch at Crystal Lotus (晶荷轩), Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel | Disneyland Themed Dim Sum @ Crystal Lotus (晶荷轩) | Our first meal in Hong Kong is at Crystal Lotus (晶荷轩) that is located in Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel serving award-winning Chinese cuisines with a unique Disney touch and Disney Signature Dim Sum. From what I Google through websites and reviews, the restaurant is always fully book during weekends or peak period so it will be advisable to make your reservation at least two days to a week ahead or book through the hotel when making your room reservations to avoid disappointment. | [Hong Kong Disneyland] Resort Shuttle Service | | [Hong Kong Disneyland] Resort Shuttle Service Schedule | First in order to move around from hotel to hotel and theme park (refer to the schedule map above), we took the complimentary Disneyland Resort Shuttle service from our hotel to the Interchange (located at Disneyland Resort) then change to another Bus at opposite lane to Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel for lunch. The whole shuttle service from Disney's Hollywood Hotel to Crystal Lotus at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel takes about 10 - 15 minutes (depending on the waiting time). | [Disneyland Hotel] Crystal Lotus (晶荷轩) | | [Disneyland Hotel] Crystal Lotus (晶荷轩) | | [Disneyland Hotel] Crystal Lotus (晶荷轩) - Crystal Lotus Chandelier | Upon stepping into the restaurant you will be enlighten with its' interior decoration which makes you feel so comfortable and cosy with its colour and lighting . At Crystal Lotus their dim sum chef has specially created an assortment of Disney Signature Dim Sum which is uniquely available only at the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. And guess what, we are going to try some of their signature dim sum which includes:- "Little Pigs Barbecue Pork Bun", "Mickey's Seafood Glutinous Pancake" and "Duffy Steamed Lotus Red Bean Puree Bun" and etc shown below this post. | [Disneyland Hotel] Crystal Lotus (晶荷轩) | They even prepared Mickey themed Kid's dinning set for my boy! Isn't that thoughtful and cute!!! | [Lunch @ Crystal Lotus (晶荷轩)] Rice Pasta With Shredded Chicken And Sesame Sauce | For appetizer we had Rice Pasta With Shredded Chicken and Sesame Sauce (麻酱鸡丝分皮) which is refreshing due to its ingredients like cold rice noodle, cucumber and lettuce topped with shredded poached chicken and drizzle of sesame sauce. This is quite similar to another Japanese dish known as Bang Bang Chicken which used similar ingredients. | [Lunch @ Crystal Lotus (晶荷轩)] Mickey's Seafood Glutinous Pancake (front) | Mickey's Seafood Glutinous Pancake - 米奇煎薄饼 (HK$58/4 pieces) is shaped in Mickey design and pan-fried till crispy on the outer layer but moist and chewy inside. The taste was surprisingly delicious too. | [Lunch @ Crystal Lotus (晶荷轩)] Little Pig BBQ Pork Bun and Little Green Man Pork And Vegetable Bun | [MUST TRY] Rey was eager to try out these cute Disney Character Dim Sum featuring Little Green Man Pork And Vegetable Bun - 绿色小人菜肉包 (HK$78 / 3 pieces) and Little Pig BBQ Pork Bun - 蚝汁叉烧猪仔包 (HK$78 / 3 pieces). The cute little pig bun was his favourite with soft bun skin and moist barbecue pork bites that look and taste great. | [Lunch @ Crystal Lotus (晶荷轩)] Little Pig BBQ Pork Bun and Little Green Man Pork And Vegetable Bun | On the other hand, the Green Three Eyes Alien which is from Toy Story really looks very much alike to the one in the cartoon. Same as the Piggy version, the texture of the bun is soft but the vegetable filling seems to be a bit too less for the portion. My boy enjoying his character dim sum especially the Little Pig BBQ Pork Bun. | [Lunch @ Crystal Lotus (晶荷轩)] Stuffed Whole Dried Scallop In Mickey Winter Melon Chicken Soup | [MUST TRY] Stuffed Whole Dried Scallop In Mickey Winter Melon Chicken Soup - 米奇元贝炖鸡 features Mickey head design winter melon cutout with stuffed dried scallop in the middle and carrot as the ears decoration. For soup lovers like our family, this is definitely a good "nourishing" stuffs for the body. We simply love the taste and flavour of the chicken broth especially with the dried scallop. | [Lunch @ Crystal Lotus (晶荷轩)] Wok-Fried King Prawns and Kale Stems in Black Bean Sauce | For veggie dish we had Wok-Fried King Prawns and Kale Stems in Black Bean Sauce - 豉汁芥兰度炒虾球. Love the crunchiness of the kale stems which pairs well with the fresh king prawns. | [Lunch @ Crystal Lotus (晶荷轩)] Wok-Fried Tenderloin of Beef Cubes, Mushrooms and Sweet Bell Peppers | Wok-Fried Tenderloin of Beef Cubes, Mushrooms and Sweet Bell Peppers - 彩椒双菌牛柳粒 is one of D's favourite dish during our lunch. The beef cubes are nicely cook with moist and juicy texture when bite and it goes well with the assorted bell peppers which burst into sweet flavour when eaten together. | [Lunch @ Crystal Lotus (晶荷轩)] Baked Tasmanian Crab Meat Fried-Rice in Whole Crab Shell | | [Lunch @ Crystal Lotus (晶荷轩)] Baked Tasmanian Crab Meat Fried-Rice in Whole Crab Shell | [MUST TRY] Every one of us was filled with excitement when this Baked Tasmanian Crab Meat Fried-Rice in Whole Crab Shell - 葡汁蟹盖焗饭 arrived on our table. It is so good just like those baked rice served in Swensen's but less cheesy and more Asian flavour. The rice is fragrance with "wok hei" together with generous amount of "real (not those imitation crab meat)" minced crab meat and baked with a layer of cheese like covering before serving on a golden crab shape plate to enhance its overall presentation. | [Lunch @ Crystal Lotus (晶荷轩)] Double-boiled Chinese Pear with Mandarin Peel | Lastly for dessert we had Double-boiled Chinese Pear with Mandarin Peel - 拼陈皮炖雪梨 with elegant fusion plating for Chinese Restaurant. And they are also thoughtful to core the pear before serving which makes it easier for us to consume the whole pear. We love the fragrance of this sweet dessert with a light tangy scent from the mandarin peel. But if you prefer you can always add some honey to it but personally I feel the original taste is already good enough with sweetness from the pear. | [Lunch @ Crystal Lotus (晶荷轩)] "Duffy" Red Bean Puree Bun | Dessert no. 2 is "Duffy" Red Bean Puree Bun - 迪士尼小熊 which the three of us all agreed that it's doesn't look anything similar like Duffy (duffy is a Disney bear). Emmm as compared with the other two Disney Character Steamed Bun above, this one was a little disappointed with both its skin and fillings which is a bit dry/tough and too sweet. | Do you have to have a Duffy Red Bean Bun? | Overall our dining experiment in Crystal Lotus (晶荷轩) was great with friendly serving crews, good food and eye feast cute Disney Character Dim Sum which we will keep them in our travel memories. Crystal Lotus is definitely worth to re-visit in near future in order to try other dishes and Disney themed dim sum and dessert on their menu.
